The Franschhoek Winelands are renowned for their beauty, history and award-winning wines.

One of the most unusual and exciting ways to visit wine farms in the Franschhoek Valley is on the Franschhoek Wine Tram. And now with City Sightseeing, you can!

Depart from Cape Town in a luxury air-conditioned coach and head directly to the Franschhoek Valley to hop off at the Franschhoek Wine Tram for a day of wine tasting and beautiful sights.

The Franschhoek Wine Tram offers two hop-on, hop-off lines, each visiting nine wine estates in the Franschhoek Valley using a combination of the tram and tram-buses. The tram or tram-buses pass each wine estate once an hour, so you can explore at your convenience, enjoy a leisurely lunch or move from one estate to the next.

At 4pm, head back to the Franschhoek Wine Tram station for your transfer back to Cape Town with City Sightseeing.

Book your ticket Book online or at City Sightseeing ticket offices. The Franschhoek Wine Tram tour will depart from 22 September 2018 from Cape Town every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with staggered departure times from 8.25am from select City Sightseeing bus stops in Camps Bay, Sea Point, Green Point and the city, as well as City Sightseeing tour offices at stop 1 (V&A Waterfront) and stop 5 (Long Street). Tickets are only valid for the stipulated day of booking.

Cost: R490 for adults (age 12 and up) and R250 for children aged two to 11.

Your ticket includes transport to and from Franschhoek, a Franschhoek Wine Tram ticket and a complimentary wine tasting on the tram. No alcohol will be served to persons younger than 18. Excluded: lunch, extra wine tastings and/or drinks.
