Spend Valentine's Weekend with City Sightseeing

February 2021

Romance is in the air and no matter your budget or taste, we have amazing specials for everybody to enjoy. Whether you’re celebrating a new romance with your crush, or a long-standing relationship, we would like to spoil you this Valentine’s Day.

.

This day dedicated to love has many stories and versions behind the meaning of it and is said to have its roots in Victorian England and Ancient Rome.  The most read version is that of Emperor Claudius II who executed two men, both named Valentine on 14 February of different years in the 3rd century A.D.  The one-man that was executed was performing marriage rituals for young lovers in secret.  However, he was defying the rulings of emperor Claudius, who then had him killed when he found out.  Another version is that of a gentleman called Valentine who was in prison.  He allegedly wrote a letter to the jailor’s daughter and signed the note ‘from your Valentine’.  Whichever saint this holiday honours, we believe he was kind, gallant and most definitely romantic and all for the true meaning of love.

Celebrate love with City Sightseeing over the Valentine’s Day weekend.  The specials below are valid from 12 – 14 February inclusive.  So, make a weekend of it, or a full-day outing, and book more than one of the below experiences if you wish.
