The #RedBus would make the perfect Monopoly Cape Town playing piece

With less than two weeks left to submit your suggestions for the Cape Town version of Monopoly, we’re calling on all locals and visitors to help get the iconic #RedBus on the board – be it as a playing piece, bus stop or playing card.

Cape Town is the first South African city to get its own Monopoly board and people are encouraged to not only vote for their favourite city landmarks, but also to suggest ideas for moving pieces and phrases to be used in the “Community Chest” and “Chance” playing cards.

According to Dan Taylor, head of regional Monopoly at Winning Moves, the Mother City has long been on their list of regional targets. And while Cape Town may be the first, Johannesburg, Pretoria or Durban could be next.

So how about a “Community Chest” card that reads, “Use this #RedBus card to pass begin and collect R200 on your next turn” or a “Chance” card that states, “Take the #RedBus directly to Table Mountain”?
