It’s that time of year again. Join some of the best South African and international comedians to celebrate all things funny during the month of July. City Sightseeing is proud to be a festival partner, set on providing memorable moments and experiences for you and the comedians.

You can find the Funny Festival at the Baxter Theatre in Rondebosch, from the 1st to the 28th of July. Be prepared to meet a hysterical line up of comedians from South Africa and across the world, all here to show you a good time. The Jive Cape Town Funny Festival has been in full swing since 1997, evolving to become the county’s blue-chip comedy event.
Be sure to check the lineup to see who is performing and when, and be quick to book the tickets for your ideal night in advance - the joke’s on you if you miss out! Tickets range from R160 to R190 depending on your seating choices. Book your tickets online before they sell out.
There’s food and drink on offer at the venue; a dinner buffet for R100 per person offering authentic curries, bakes and soups, and then there’s the Long Bar, with snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Can’t get enough of the jokes? The Cape Town Comedy Club, right by our head ticket offices at Stop 1, offers a laugh a minute in the evenings, with big names in the National and International funny industry hosting nights of fun and laughter. This year the hilarious lineup will include some of our favourite SA performers such as; Alan Committie, Emo Adams, The Big Boys, Lindy Johnson, Sifiso Nene, and Carvin H. Goldstone. We’re also going to give a big warm welcome to Kev Orkian from the UK, and Matt Tarrant from Australia.
The Cape Town Comedy Club is a prestigious spot for all South African comedians and attracts international acts on the regular. You can also enjoy fantastic drinks and meals on offer, from cocktails to craft beers, burgers to pizzas, and much more. It’s the perfect way to start or end off a week of laughs and giggles.

On the 18th of July, The Cape Town Comedy Club will be celebrating Mandela Day with their annual 67 Minutes of Laughter comedy evening, with a top-notch lineup from around the country. Madiba loved laughter, and to give back to the community all the proceedings from the evening will go to the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital.
Tickets are R167 per person, and the evening lasts from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Dinner is at 6:00 PM, with the show starting at 8:30 PM.
