The World Travel Market (WTM) Africa 2017 expo is in full swing at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), with plenty of enthusiastic visitors attending on the first day.
The annual event attracts travel and tourism industry experts from around the globe, and this year City Sightseeing has pulled out all the stops, with one of its distinctive double-decker red buses at the centre of its exhibit.

“WTM has always been good for us,” says City Sightseeing marketing and sales manager Mandi Jarman, adding that the show is getting busier every year and attracting high-calibre buyers.
The operator’s one-of-a-kind display includes a pop-up market inside the bus, showcasing local goods from design collective Amiti on Long Street, Cape Town (stop 5 on the route).

Visitors can also head to the top of the double-decker and scope out the bird’s-eye view of the show’s participating traders and exhibits.
With its buses a familiar sight around the Cape Peninsula, City Sightseeing recently rolled out its new full-day Cape Point Explorer tour to Cape Point – adding to its popular hop-on, hop-off red offerings.
“The Cape Point Explorer service started on 1 February and we are now in a position to link all of the Cape Town Big 7,” says Jarman.
