The people have spoken and City Sightseeing has bagged top honours in the Klink Awards by being voted the best wine-tourism touring company in the Western Cape. We are beyond proud and thankful for each vote cast. Cheers to you!

This year, the Klink Awards received a record-breaking 19 879 votes to determine the ultimate wine and food experiences offered in the Western Cape’s winelands. The awards promote South Africa’s wine-tourism industry, contributing to GDP, creating jobs and adding value to the wine-production sector. It introduces consumers to the country’s wine-related experiences and celebrates the best the industry has to offer.

City Sightseeing was nominated in two categories for our Purple Wine Tour: for best out-of-the-ordinary and best touring experiences. After online voting took place earlier this year, the Purple Wine Tour was officially crowned the best touring company to “uncover the brightest gems of destinations, experiences, wine and food that are distinctively wine tourism”, as stated by the Klink Awards as they unveiled the winners on their website.

The Purple Wine Tour is a circular route taking visitors to three of the oldest and most prestigious wine farms in Constantia after a beautiful ocean-view trip past Camps Bay.

Passengers on City Sightseeing’s popular circular Purple Wine Tour can hop on and hop off at three wine estates: Groot Constantia, Eagles’ Nest and Beau Constantia. Enjoy wine tasting, admire the scenery and maybe even enjoy a meal or picnic.

To catch the Purple Wine Tour, passengers can hop off the red bus at Constantia Nek (STOP 21).
