01 December 2016
The early bird catches the worm – and a red bus, with our summer timetable for Cape Town.
From September 2016, our open-top red buses – and additional offerings – have been operating more frequently. And now, to meet the increased demand of locals and travellers wanting to hop on and off during the summer months – our busiest period – the first and last departure times of the double-decker are also changing.
As of 16 December 2016, our first red buses for the City Tour and the Mini Peninsula Tour depart at 8am from our V&A Waterfront tour office and stop. Beat the rush for a bus in two steps – buy your tickets online at a discounted rate and hop on early to avoid the typically longer queues we experience during the festive period.
Our popular Cape Town Sunset Bus has returned, with daily trips to Signal Hill (or the Cableway – traffic dependent) to watch the city light up below as the sun sets over the Atlantic Ocean. Pack a picnic and surprise your significant other with a romantic round-trip; or purchase a selfie stick from our tour offices and round up your friends for a fun-filled venture.

Finally, pop in at the Travel Depot at our 81 Long Street tour office. It is a great source of information for locals and travellers needing to know more about other exciting experiences in the city and its surrounds. You can also indulge in some retail therapy at Amiti Shop ndash, a collective made up of independent designers from all over the country selling proudly South African products.
