Looking for a special way to spend quality time with your dad and see the sights of beautiful Cape Town? Not only can dads sit back and relax on a City Sightseeing red bus trip this Father’s Day, Sunday 17 June 2018, but they’ll also be entitled to a refreshing, free draught of beer along the way.
Dads buying their red bus tickets at the V&A Waterfront ticket office (stop 1) or 81 Long Street (stop 5) on Father's Day will be handed vouchers for a pint of locally made Tiger’s Milk Lager or Part Wolf Pilsner, to be enjoyed either at Tiger’s Milk Kitchen/Bar at 44 Long Street, Cape Town, or at La Parada restaurant in Constantia at stop 21 on the Mini Peninsula Tour on the same day.
You can still buy your tickets online, too – simply nip into the ticket office to get your drink voucher before hopping on the bus.
The Mini Peninsula Tour takes you past the leafy southern slopes of Table Mountain and the Constantia winelands towards Hout Bay and back to the city via the spectacular Atlantic Seaboard, including Camps Bay.
Hop off at stop 21 on Constantia Nek to head to La Parada, where you can either linger for an hour or two, or hop back onto the red bus and continue your trip around the mountain.
Alternatively, why not hop on the Constantia Wine Bus, which also stops at stop 21 and will take you to three wine estates on its circular route: Groot Constantia (stop 25), Eagles' Nest (stop 26) and Beau Constantia (stop 27)?
Afterwards, either continue along the Mini Peninsula Tour, or change direction and go back the way you came.
Since Father’s Day is a celebration for the whole family, don’t forget to make use of our 3-for-1 Kids’ Special, allowing dads (or moms!) to take two children under 18 along free of charge with one paid adult one-day (Classic) bus ticket.
One-day (Classic) tickets cost R200 per adult (R180 if you buy online), and R100 for children aged five to 17. (Take advantage of the 3-for-1
Kids’ Special, valid on weekends, public and school holidays until 8 October 2018.) Apart from our on-board audio commentary in 15 languages, we also have a special channel to keep the kids entertained.
