Catching a City Sightseeing Red Tour bus is a special treat any time of the day, but catching one early in the morning means you can avoid the crowds and take your time exploring the city.
With the first bus departing as early as 8am, eating a proper breakfast might be tricky, but the Red Bus Tour and Blue Mini Peninsula Tour routes share stop 12 on Beach Road, which is home to great restaurants. The stop gives access to many other activities to explore on foot, which makes it a perfect place to hop off the bus to fuel up and hop on again as there is a bus every 15 minutes. Knowing that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, we have compiled a list of the top restaurants on Beach Road that serve the freshest and yummiest breakfast menu on the strip.
Café Neo

The name Café Neo doesn’t give away much, but if you are looking for super healthy homemade porridge with fresh fruits, or Muesli soaked overnight with crunchy apple for breakfast, this is the place to go. But if savoury is what gets you going for breakfast, their “Hot Greek” special with free range eggs, bacon, mushrooms and tomato topped with fried halloumi cheese is a great option. They also have a selection of sandwiches to choose from and smoothies.

La Vie Café Bar is definitely one of the popular spots on Beach Road for various reasons. It could be their 180-degree views of the ocean; their cocktail menu, which is great for sundowners and, of course, the food. Also, the restaurant has a very relaxed atmosphere with a nice open plan setting so no matter where you are sitting; you will have a nice view. For breakfast you will find people in their gym gear and families enjoying their first meal of the day. Try their omelets and build your own just the way you like it. For a healthier option their homemade muesli is packed with all the right stuff that will keep you going till lunch.

New Port Market and Deli
You can’t miss New Port Market and Deli as it is directly across the road from the lighthouse, which is one of Sea Point’s popular landmarks. From as early as 7am, you can fill up at the Deli with fresh produce from super healthy smoothies on the go or sit down and enjoy a warm breakfast. The great thing about the Deli is that you can take your time shopping for fresh produce to take home with you afterwards. Here you can rest assured that there is something on the menu for everyone.
