21 March 2020

.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, City Sightseeing South Africa will be suspending its Hop-On Hop-Off bus services from Monday, 23rd March until 14th April 2020.

This closure will take place in the Cape Town, Johannesburg and Hermanus Hop-on Hop-off operations. Johannesburg will also be suspending its Soweto tour and the Johannesburg and Hermanus ticket offices will be closed during this time.

The Cape Town ticket offices in the Waterfront and at 81 Long Street will remain open to assist visitors where needed.

Cape Explorer Day Trips to Cape Point, Winelands and Franschhoek Tram remain in operation until further notice, please check www.citysightseeing.co.za or social media for any updates on these specific tours.

We continue taking guidance from the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) as well as the World Health Organisation and the Department of Health to inform our approach. We are continually sanitising all buses, stores and our staff have been fully informed with relevant information and guided on personal hygiene and preventative measures.

“For nearly 20 years, we have been guided by our values, which are at the heart of our business. These values will guide us now as we face the uncertainty and impact brought about by the Coronavirus (COVID-19).” says Chairman Claus Tworeck.
